Maria O'Toole

Commercial Director

Maria holds a BSc. in Food Science and Technology from University College Cork and has worked in the food industry for over 25 years in roles across laboratory, technical services and account management in the fermented foods sectors.

Maria joined the team in 2019 as Commercial Director and manages the LabSens business division of Eolas International.

Maria is the primary contact for all Proficiency schemes run by the LabSens Team.

John Murphy

Logistics Lead

John graduated with a degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management (IIPMM).

He has over 12 years industry experience in Logistics and Freight forwarding and joined our team in December 2019.

John oversees the quality and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods, ensuring proper packing techniques and shipping practices are adhered to within LabSens  parameters.

Shanice Twohig

Sensory & Consumer Research Manager

Shanice holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Food Marketing & Entrepreneurship from University College, Cork. 

As Sensory & Consumer Research Manager, Shanice is responsible for the planning, execution, data analysis and reporting of client projects for all sensory work within LabSens.

Shanice is also involved in our Consumer Panel projects from initial client engagements through to reporting.

Shanice joined our team in 2015.

Emer Garvey

Sensory & Laboratory Manager

Jovita Cerneckiene

Laboratory Manager

Jovita holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering and has over 14 years experience in Quality Control and Sensory Analysis.

Her role involves managing day to day laboratory methodology and reporting of results to clients as well as managing laboratory documentation and procedures according to ISO9001 requirements.

Jovita is also involved in managing the screening, training and continuous assessments of our sensory panellists.

Gary Moloney

QC Analyst

Since graduating from the University of Limerick with a BSc in Food Science & Health, Gary has worked in microbiology and sensory laboratories at two multinational companies.

Gary joined the LabSens division of Eolas International in September 2020 and brings with him knowledge of FDA audit standards, good manufacturing practices (GMP) and other relevant skills which he will implement in his many tasks as a Laboratory Analyst.
